WHAT IS THE INTERSTUDENT COMPETITION?

The Interstudent competition is aimed at international students studying at Polish universities at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels (at both public and private universities; in both Polish and foreign languages). The competition seeks to recognize foreign “university leaders” whose activities enrich the local academic community and build bridges between cultures. These leaders are those who show active involvement in their academic environment, inspire their peers through their actions, and contribute to the activation of civic communities in their local surroundings.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

To participate in the competition, students must demonstrate active involvement in the local student community—cultural, social, ecological, or sports activities, efforts to promote multiculturalism—as well as achieve good academic results. Nominations can be submitted by rectors or vice-rectors, deans or vice-deans, university international cooperation offices, student governments, and the leadership of other student organizations. Fellow students can also nominate candidates for the competition.

WHEN IS IT?

The next edition of Interstudent competition will start at the end of 2024. We will post updates here! You can also check the Interstudent official website: https://studyinpoland.pl/interstudent/

OUR STUDENTS’ SUCCESSES

One of our students, Yasser Faraj, received a special prize of the 8th edition of the INTERSTUDENT 2018 competition for the best foreign student in Poland for his activities in the fight against racism! He co-organized in 2017 Football Tournament “Play against racism”, which aim was to express opposition to racism and intolerance and to show the unity of Polish and foreign students of our University. Yasser also participated in a two-year project in Katowice, where he talked about Arabic culture to raise public awareness. He also organized cultural events at our university.
