In what currency the tuition fee is charged?
Tuition fee is charged in EURO currency and beginning from summer semester of the academic year 2009/2010 in both EURO and USD currency. NOTE: students are required to submit a written declaration at the Dean’s Office stating in which currency their fees will be paid.
Is there a possibility to attend a part of education outside Poland?
Clinical training (final two years of education) can be completed at the university affiliated hospitals located outside Poland. Students can attend individual rotations or the entire clinical curriculum at those facilities. Please feel free to contact Dean’s Office staff to learn more details about application procedures.

What is summer clerkship?
Summer clerkship is an obligatory training unit in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th years curriculum. It consists of 140 hours in each of these years of study. You can not continued your education on the next level without completing it in a timely manner.
Students can attend summer clerkship 1) either in Poland (according to the schedule offered by school) or 2) in teaching hospitals outside of Poland upon their own arrangement (advanced approval from the Dean required).

What is the number of weeks during one semester?
One academic year consists of two semesters – winter and summer. There are 15 weeks of classes in each semester excluding vacation and holiday breaks.
What kind of diploma will obtain a graduate upon the completion of our medical program?
Graduates from the English language medical program at the Medical University of Silesia obtain an MD diploma valid in all European countries. To make it valid outside Europe, it must be first verified by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Poland, afterwards further requirements must be met as per individual countries’ procedures for document recognition.
